The mentoring program focuses on one-on-one meetings between the mentee and the mentor.
Mentoring pairs meet during the program and discuss topics chosen by the mentee, such as entrepreneurship, career development, and skills enhancement. The mentoring pairs decide themselves how many times they will meet and how the meetings will be conducted. The organizers of the mentoring program provide a mentoring agreement template that is recommended to be used as a foundation for the mentoring work.
Mentoring pairs also have the opportunity to participate in BusinessMe events organized throughout Kainuu during the mentoring program. These events are open to participants even without a mentoring pair. More information about the events can also be found in the event calendar.

Mentoring benefits both the mentor and the mentee. As a mentor, you gain new perspectives and ideas for your own entrepreneurship or expert work through the conversations. You’ll have the chance to expand your professional network and connect with skilled individuals, professionals, and students in the Kainuu region.
As a mentee, you can get to know yourself better with the support of your mentor. You can identify and clarify your skills and receive support for planning your career path or developing your business. A mentor can offer you new viewpoints, and their support can help strengthen your professional self-awareness and confidence.
